Porch Ghouls in the news...
Memphis band the Porch Ghouls, discovered by Aerosmith's Joe Perry on a Sun Studio tour, releases an album called "Bluff City Ruckus" on Tuesday, April 8. The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports the garage-rock band performed "Come To Poppa," a version of Ann Peebles' "Come To Mama," at the Orpheum in Memphis Thursday night during the 18th annual Premier Player Awards honoring the legenday Hi Records label. The Memphis Flyer says that, while on a promotional tour, the Porch Ghouls got a look at the practice sessions for the Salute to the Blues benefit held at Radio City Music Hall.
